Last night we lost tooth number one. It was bloody, there were tears. But, the morning brought smiles and money from the Tooth Fairy.
One down, many, many more to go…..

This past weekend we went to a local farm to pick blueberries. We’ve wanted to do this for awhile now but never seem to get our lazy butts in gear on weekends.
We probably should have left a bit earlier because it was getting very hot out there as we got closer to lunch time. But the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. Once Sean tried a blueberry there was no turning back. We had to tell him to stop grabbing blueberries from the bucket because we couldn’t replace them fast enough. But, that didn’t deter him. He just ate them straight from the bush.
Now that we’ve gone once I want to try and get back there as much as possible this summer. It seems like a great way to get the kids to try different kinds of fruit. Plus, I’ll try anything if it gets our skinny little guy eating more.
This weekend we woke up to Meghan hovering over our bed.
“Seanie’s outside.”
“What do you mean Sean’s outside?”
“He’s outside.”
“Outside where?!?”
Uh-huh. That’s right. OUTSIDE.
I ran to the front door and found him standing outside, looking in, crying. He did get himself dressed first, sort of. He was wearing his underwear, a T-shirt that he put on backwards and his Diego Crocs.
We have no idea how long he was out there. Or if he ventured off the front steps. And our front door? It was bolted and it’s super heavy but, apparently not too heavy for our little Bamm-Bamm.
Today we have a child lock on every possible exit. Hopefully we won’t need to add Houdini to his list of titles.
The circus came to town.
I think I’ve been to the circus maybe once before. All I remember is the elephant smell. Not pleasant.
But, we couldn’t pass up the chance to take the kids to a circus. And, come one, how often will the circus be about 5 minutes down the road. Plus? Cheap tickets.
The kids seem to really enjoy it. We bypassed the elephant rides on the way in which may been a mistake. Sean whined about riding an elephant throughout most of the first half. Needless to say they got their elephant ride at intermission.
They did seem to have a great time. And Sean stayed interested most of the show. And then he peed on my lap. Awesome.
