I have been totally neglecting this the past 2 weeks. We are currently on vacation and I thought I would have time to update daily. Obviously that was not even close to reality.

Wait - How much?

I should not be allowed to shop at Target alone.

I reluctantly headed to the register only when my cart was full. I stopped to rearrange the contents of the cart at least twice to allow further shopping. I even used that under the cart tray thingy. But I did save $4 on formula with coupons. So that make it all okay, right?

The Weekend Happy List.

It is finally the weekend.

Things I am looking forward to this weekend:

1. Shopping at Target - alone: That's right, I said alone, not even one child with me. Woo-hoo. I've got a gajillion things I need to buy and I may even have time to look around a bit. I know, crazy talk.
2. Spending some quality time with the TiVo: I am so behind. Need to catch up. Otherwise how will I know if Scott Baio is still 45 and single?
3. Sunday is cheat day: What, do you need more explanation? Ok, we are trying this diet that allows us to cheat one day a week. we can eat anything we want that day. Thank the Lord. 'Cause I am stahvin'. Ryan questioned if we are currently consuming enough calories to sustain life. Well, we are still here......Grumpy and tired, but here.
4. Sleep: Wait, who am I kidding. That is not going to happen. Humph.
5. Time with kiddies: Of course. (No, I did not need to go back and edit this post to add this one. It was there all along. I swear.)

Is it just me?

I'm thinking I like Mandy Moore's cover of Rihanna's song "Umbrella" better than the original. Or maybe I just like Mandy Moore more (heh) than Rihanna. Don't know.

They Grow Up So Fast

....

Psych

Big omission on my "Currently Watching" list. I did not have Psych listed. This is a great summer show that both Ryan and I enjoy. Generally, there are not many shows they we both watch during the summer. He is happy to watch baseball while I will sit and watch just about any brain rotting show (please also see recent addition of Mission: Man Band) as long as it is not sports related.

If you have not seen Psych, I highly recommend it, even if only for the obscure 80's pop culture references.

We went to The Cheescake Factory today.

We ate to much.

We are exhausted.

Lord of the Flies

Ryan has spent the day killing flies.

We don't know where they came from. But they are on the attack. Or swarming. or whatever flies do. But have no fear, Ryan has a fly swatter and he is not afraid to use it (at least on flies).

Casualties: 16

And yes, that is the cat there (Madison) totally slacking off on her duties. She should be chasing and extinguishing all the foreign creatures in the house. This is the second time she has disappointed us.

A Day at the Farm (sort of)

Today we headed out to Davis' Farmland.

Meghan got to feed animals big



and small.



Then we headed over to the water park portion. I thought I took more pictures but I guess not.



Sean just went about his normal business.

Waste of Time

I watched the whole season of Age of Love just to see him pick the girl that annoyed me from the start. Whatever. It's coming off the list on the left. I have plenty of other crappy entertaining shows to watch.

Before we discuss Sean, an update on Meghan.....

I finally convinced Meghan to give the potty another try. Although the potty may be stupid, bubbles make everything better.

This does not mean she actually did anything more that sit there for an hour. Oh well, baby steps.

Today was Sean's weigh in. Drum roll, please............

14 lbs 13 oz

This means he has gained 3 lbs 13 oz in one month. He is now back on the charts. And that makes everyone happy.

Learning New Things About Meghan

1. She has an imaginary friend named "Susan"
2. She thinks the potty is "stupid"

My thoughts on these new findings:

1. OK, that's normal. But where did she get the name "Susan"? And why does she just order "Susan" to follow her around?
2. Grrrrr!!!

Weekend Report - August 4th & 5th 2007

It was a full weekend.

Saturday:

First we caught up with Ariel.

Then I was playing with the B&W function on my camera.

That was followed by a quick dip in the pool.

Sunday:

Meghan showed off her cowgirl boots.

Sean passed out from all the excitement

Kind of Embarrassing

I added the TV shows I am currently watching to the left here. Looking through the list, I realize that there are not many "quality" shows there. And, I keep going back and adding more as I remember them. For instance, I originally forgot "The Two Coreys". I then had to decide if I wanted to admit watching that show. And you know what? I really don't care who knows because sometime you just need to vegetate and that show certainly does the trick.

Over a year and one baby later....

Um, OK, so it took me longer than expected to get back to this. But, I am now trying really, really hard to commit to this. I think once I get started and in a routine it will be much easier.

So my original goal was to report on the goings on of Meghan. Now there is Meghan and Sean. They are still going to be the primary source of material. They really are the major form of entertainment around our parts. And they are so darn cute.....
